Leadership Maryland, a significant statewide leadership program in the United States, selected Pete Bugas, Interstate Container Cambridge General Manager, as one of 52 accomplished and talented Maryland leaders to participate in an eight-month leadership program.
The program focuses on building relationships between leaders in the region and inspiring them to make a difference. Leadership Maryland helps leaders understand and appreciate diversity, enrich personal values, as well as investigate the correlation between issues in Maryland and promote positive changes.

Leadership Maryland Selects Peter A. Bugas for its Class of 2013
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Peter A. Bugas, General Manager, Interstate Container Cambridge, has been selected for the Leadership Maryland Class of 2013. Bugas, a resident of Salisbury, is one of 52 accomplished and talented Maryland leaders selected to participate in the eight-month program. Leadership Maryland is one of 34 state leadership programs nationwide and has graduated over 900 statewide leaders.
“The participants represent a broad spectrum of highly qualified executives from an extraordinary group of statewide applicants,” said Nancy Minieri, founding president and CEO of Leadership Maryland. “After participating in a comprehensive range of experiences during this milestone anniversary year, these leaders will serve as important participants in the unified effort to shapeMaryland’s future.”
Following a two-day opening retreat in April, participants will attend five two-day, and one one-day intense sessions focusing on issues, such as, economic development, education, health and human services, criminal and juvenile justice, environment, and multiculturalism/diversity. More than 100 top experts representing business, government, education, and the non-profit community will serve as panelists and guest speakers.
