Phoenix Power 1 project, as part of the Government of Egypt’s Feed-In Tariff (FIT) program, generates renewable energy and provide the Egyptian Transmission Company with electricity.
The new Phoenix Power One Website is now online. The website provides comprehensive details about the Phoenix Power 1 project that will be constructed in Bin Ban – Egypt, starting November 2016, and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2017. This project will give birth to a 62 MW Solar Power Plant and provide the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) with solar power of 14.35 cent per KWh. The plant will occupy a surface of 1.1 million m2, on which it will operate for approximately 25 years.
As part of the Egyptian Renewable Energy National Strategy (2008), Phoenix Power 1 will quench 20% of the Egyptian electricity by 2020. Also, in compliance with the Egyptian Solar Plan (2012), 3500 MW of solar energy will be generated by 2027. For more information, please refer to http://www.phoenixpower1.com/#home.
