INDEVCO CEO Addresses Model UN Student Ambassadors in New York

Neemat Frem urges delegates from around the world to develop ‘A Universal Declaration of Human Purpose’.

Neemat Frem, President and CEO of INDEVCO Group, addressed delegates at the closing ceremony of the Global Classrooms International (GCI) High School Model United Nations (MUN) Conference in New York on May 13, 2017.

Through this program, students take on roles as ambassadors from different countries to debate pressing global issues, after undergoing extensive knowledge and skills-based training. Students learn techniques of conflict resolution, coalition building, negotiation, and debate, as well as UN procedures and rules.

In his speech, Frem, who heads a Lebanon-based multinational manufacturing group, highlighted the paradox of the “same” Middle East, where chaos and inhumanity exist alongside successful industrial growth and expansion.

After discussing the evolution of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Frem entrusted delegates with the quest to build a new civilization that focuses on human vocation. He urged them to succeed in developing ‘A Universal Declaration of Human Purpose’. Read the speech here
