Donner Sang Compter Recognizes INDEVCO for Helping Achieve a Half Thousand Blood Drives

Donner Sang Compter awarded INDEVCO for holding blood drives continuously to support the association and distressed families in need of blood.

On 23 May 2017, INDEVCO joined fellow supporters at Donner Sang Compter’s (DSC Lebanon) event to celebrate accomplishing 500 blood drives. During the event, DSC presented Johnny Habre, INDEVCO Paper Making Division Marketing Communications Specialist, with an award appreciating INDEVCO’s continuous support since 2015. INDEVCO holds regular blood drives and donation campaigns across its numerous member companies in Lebanon.

DSC Lebanon is an NGO that provides blood to patients in need through a centralized database of potential donors and blood donation campaigns in partnership with local blood banks. Yorgui Teyrouz, DSC Lebanon Founder, explained, “…such campaigns raise the percentages of voluntary donations versus family replacement donations – which are far more common in Lebanon”.  “Replacements are never enough, and put a lot of pressure on patients’ families. By hosting us for blood drives, you contributed in raising the stocks of our partnering hospitals and decreasing the stress on families desperately reaching out for help; we hope that you consider doubling these campaigns at your premises in the upcoming years!”.

Teyrouz thanked INDEVCO and other event sponsors for their commitment and belief in Donner Sang Compter’s cause. The association distributed recognition awards to hospitals, banks, universities, schools, companies, community partners, NGOs, media, and personal supporters.

As a diversified manufacturing group, INDEVCO produces paper, corrugated, and plastic raw materials and packaging and jumbo tissue rolls for a range of sectors, as well as personal care hygiene, household and away-from-home (AFH) disposables.

INDEVCO’s support to DSC Lebanon is part of its ongoing commitment to developing community relations and well-being.
