UNIPAK Successfully Passes Mars Global Supplier Code of Conduct Audit

UNIPAK, Lebanese corrugated packaging manufacturer, achieves high results in the Supplier Code of Conduct audit conducted by Mars Inc. Department of Family Affairs at the plant in Halat, Lebanon on 16 and 17 December 2013. The audit results demonstrate UNIPAK’s dedication to responsible business behavior and legal and ethical responsibilities, as well as application of Mars Global policies. UNIPAK commits to its responsibilities towards its people, environment, community, and customers worldwide.

The audit covered:

Environment and sustainability
Human Resources (compensation, benefits , ethical behavior, work system and atmosphere , the proper implementation of Lebanese labor law)
Workplace
Applied ethical standards
Public safety and security

UNIPAK supplies Mars Inc. in the GCC and Egypt with corrugated packaging certified by FEFCO GMP and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP) as safe for direct or indirect food contact. Packaging products include all promotional packaging.

Mars Global put in place a companywide Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure that the high standards applied throughout Mars Global also extends to suppliers from around the world.
