Interstate Paper Industries Acquires FSC™ Chain of Custody Certification

Interstate Paper Industries (IPI) receives Forest Stewardship Council (FSC™) Chain of Custody certification for responsible forest management.The audit, conducted by BM TRADA certification ensures that Interstate Paper industries implements relevant FSC™ certification standard(s) over the full range of operations, structures, and systems in place for its management.

By attaining the FSC™ Chain of Custody certification, IPI provides a credible guarantee to customers, whether businesses, government, or end consumer, that products which are sold with a specified FSC™ certificate code originate from well-managed forests, controlled sources, reclaimed materials, or a mixture. This certification thereby facilitates the transparent flow of goods made from such materials through the supply chain and demonstrates compliance with public and private procurement policies that specify environmentally responsible materials.

Interstate Paper Industries FSC™ Chain of Custody Audit

Andrey Grebenkin, BM TRADA Auditor/Certification Coordinator, conducted the FSC™ Chain of Custody audit on 26 November 2012 at IPI premises in Sadat City, Egypt. The audit covered product groups, supply chain methods, and control system requirements.

Grebenkin lauded IPI for its paperless documentation system, where all required forms are filled through an Information Management System (IMS). Grebenkin also acknowledged the high quality standards at Interstate Paper Industries, achieving no identified non-conformities or observations.
