At INDEVCO’s 2017 Sustainability Summit in September, CEO Neemat Frem announced INDEVCO’s intent to align with The Ten Principles of UN Global Compact, as well as to relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

CEO & President Neemat Frem submitted an official Letter of Commitment to UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres in August 2017, stating INDEVCO’s intent to abide by The Ten Principles of UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. “I am pleased to confirm that INDEVCO supports United Nations Global Compact’s Ten Principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. With this letter, we communicate our intent to implement those principles…We will also collaborate on projects that advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, specifically the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

As part of its corporate philosophy, ‘What is good for the community is good for the company’, INDEVCO’s global sustainability initiatives focus on social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and responsible product development and coincide with UN SDGs. Social responsibility initiatives relate directly to:

  • SDG3: Good health & wellbeing
  • SDG 4: Quality education
  • SDG 5: Gender equality
  • SDG 8: Decent work & economic growth

The group’s environmental sustainability and responsible product development initiatives align with:

  • SDG 7: Affordable & clean energy
  • SDG 12: Responsible consumption & production

Across all initiatives, INDEVCO partners with local and regional and international government entities, universities, and associations to achieve progress.
