The Group launched company-wide awareness sessions, distributed hand sanitizers across offices, and trained guards and HSE staff to monitor entry into company premises.
Covid-19 Awareness Training
Throughout the month of March, INDEVCO Health & Safety Manager, Dr. Gebran El Karnaouni, spread awareness across all INDEVCO operations in Lebanon to reduce panic from the Covid-19 and shared knowledge about necessary hygiene measures. The session presented Covid-19 statistics, and information about virus incubation period, transmission and spread, symptoms, prevention, and treatment.
Employee & Safety Measures
INDEVCO Health & Safety team started to screen employees and visitors daily for a temperature of over 38°C before entering INDEVCO premises using infrared thermometers to prevent the spread of the virus inside the company. INDEVCO and its business units have placed awareness banners at receptions with health instructions for visitors to follow.
INDEVCO distributed Sanita hand sanitizers to all offices to emphasize hand hygiene, as well as installed hand sanitizers near attendance punching machines. INDEVCO has also advised all employees against any unnecessary travel to reduce the exposure risk at airports and in airplanes.
