On 7 February 2014, Sanita and Masterpak hosted Her Excellency Ambassador Halima Feke and a delegation from the Ethiopian embassy in Lebanon. Elias Esta, President of Sanita Division, welcomed the delegation, which first arrived at Sanita offices. Amal Mussallam, an INDEVCO Executive Director, and Sanita representatives, Joe El Sokhn and Dounia Aoun, accompanied Esta.
The welcoming party offered a brief presentation to introduce INDEVCO Group, Sanita, and Masterpak, covering product range, target sectors and markets, and manufacturing operations worldwide. The ambassador and fellow delegation then toured Sanita and Masterpak plants to become further acquainted with Lebanese industrialism.
Sanita Plant Tour
At Sanita Zouk plant, delegates viewed baby and adult diaper, as well as feminine hygiene disposables manufacturing machines. Dounia Aoun, Sanita Quality Assurance Representative, and Joe El Sokhn, Sanita Senior Production Engineer, guided the visitors throughout the plant.
Delegates witnessed live product tests at Sanita’s quality control laboratory. Raw materials and finished goods all undergo testing and inspections before reaching the market to ensure high-quality. Delegates also visited the workshop area, where Sanita empowers physically challenged people and encourages them to work and feel independent.
Masterpak Plant Tour
At Masterpak, H.E. Ambassador Feke and delegates viewed first-hand overall operations at the plant, including the production of plastic films from resins. Nayef Ghaith, Masterpak Production Manager, and Fares Fares, Masterpak Sales Manager accompanies the delegates to explain processes in the plant during the tour.
Masterpak, polyethylene (PE) film manufacturer, and Sanita, consumer disposables manufacturer, are sister companies and members of INDEVCO Group, the multinational Lebanese manufacturing group.
