In line with Mother’s Day, INDEVCO Learning and Development Unit launched a ‘Coaching for Parents’workshop, provided by Wydner Coaches, on 21 March 2014 at Bethania in Harissa, Lebanon. During the event, Samir Zhil, Founder of Wydner Coaches, covered the best studying, eating, TV, and behavioral habits in children, as well as presented the golden rules of parental coaching.
The workshop helped parents determine self-esteem, and the causes of negativity in children, as well as better understand a child’s conscious versus subconscious. Attendees received effective parenting tips to help implement discipline within a household, as well as learned how to best handle sibling jealousy.
Consistent with the need for effective work-life balance, Zhil also discussed “How to spend quality time with your kids”. The session helped attendees comprehend the consequences of being dual-earner parents and the effect of father travel away from home, as well as explained the role of the nanny and nursery.
Solange Ajouz, INDEVCO Marketing Production Unit Manager, shares,
“The workshop was great! It was very helpful in bringing to our attention behaviors or actions that have a large impact on our children and that usually go unnoticed. It also helped us better understand the behavior of our children.
It shed a lot of light on how to handle various situations and ensure that we try to provide our children with the best possible environment. Also, as a working parent, the workshop gave some great tips to spending quality time with our children. Overall it was very interesting and beneficial!”
Wissam Mussaed, INDEVCO Learning and Development Manager, states,
“For the first time at our group, the training isn’t only addressed to our colleagues but to their family members too. ‘Coaching for Parents’ workshop made a significant impact and we have received a lot of positive feedback.”
