On Wednesday, 20 August, INDEVCO employees, among 100 volunteers, gathered in Ehmej to join hands in a wide-scale cleanup of cartridges and waste across the area, picking up over 192,000 cartridges in 3 hours. The activity not only contributed to preserving Lebanon’s breathtaking natural landscapes but also highlighted the importance of responsible environmental practices.
In addition to the cleanup, participants engaged in cultural awareness activities that shed light on the region’s ecological and historical significance. This balance of environmental responsibility and cultural appreciation emphasized the importance of protecting heritage alongside nature. The full-day event, organized by Volunteering Marathon with the support of local partners, closed with a communal lunch at the Arz (Cedar) Ehmej Conservation Park.
As a main sponsor, INDEVCO reaffirmed its commitment to both environmental protection and youth empowerment, aligning these efforts with its annual cleanup initiative and broader sustainability roadmap.
