9 January 2014 – At SERFVC, Interstate Container will introduce Greencoat® wax-free boxes to farmers and packers at Booth # 429 – 431 from January 10 – 12, 2014 at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center in Savannah, GA. Greencoat® boxes offer growers and packers the necessary strength and durability to ensure protection and safe delivery of fragile fruits and vegetables during shipment without increasing customer costs.

With tested performance, water-resistant Greencoat® boxes offer a durable packaging solution for long transportation and storage which can withstand exposure to moisture, shifts in temperature, and rough handling. Greencoat® boxes pack fresh produce, such as cabbage, cucumbers, eggplant, peaches, peppers, squash, tomatoes, and yams, in addition to seedlings.

Greencoat® Box Cost Efficiency

Greencoat® boxes are easier and less costly to glue than traditional cascaded and curtain coated wax boxes. The wax-free recyclable box cuts landfill disposal fees, basically ranging from $65-$125 / ton (tipping fees & pull).
