SMETA compliance audit guarantees suppliers and customers that Roto Packing implements ethical business practices, follows international labor laws and invests in employee safety, health, and satisfaction, as well as takes part in corporate social responsibility.
Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit at Roto Packing
On 4 September 2014, John Thomas, SGS Lead Auditor- Systems & Services Certification, evaluated Roto Packing according to SMETA Best Practice Methodology (Version 4.0, May 2012). The SMETA 4-Pillar audit focuses on global requirements for: 1) Labor Standards, 2) Health & Safety, 3) Environment and 4) Business Practices.
The 3rd party auditing body granted Roto Packing the SMETA Letter of Conformity for the manufacturer’s demonstrated focus on environmental requirements, wastage disposal, safety training, code of conduct, change of employee perception, customers and business in terms of social responsibility, and so forth.
