During Beirut Energy Forum 2013, the World Energy Council (WEC) Lebanon Committee appointed Rabih Osta, Phoenix Group Area General Manager, one of five official consulting board members due to his leadership role in the renewable energy industry in Lebanon. On 27 September 2013, WEC voted for WEC candidates, selecting the five with the highest number of votes as official members of the consulting board.

Throughout Osta’s two-year role, he and other elected members will meet once a month to discuss annual work plans and implement WEC activities throughout the year in Lebanon.

WEC Lebanon is a network of leaders in the energy industry that promotes and brings together experts to discuss, meet, and adopt sustainable energy.

The mission of the WEC Lebanon Committee is “to promote sustainable energy for all” through an active involvement in the WEC global energy network.
