The Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC) and Ministry of Energy and Water named Phoenix –ASACO joint venture winners of the BRSS Project – Phase 1 bid. BRSS Phase 1 will include the installation of a photovoltaic (PV) farm spanning across the river for 30 meters. the PV farm will feature a fully suspended design with no obstruction in the river, as well as offer a capacity of 1.08 Mega Watts Peak (MWp).
The BRSS – Phase 1 launching event brought together Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water, Gebran Bassil, and representatives from the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC), Phoenix Group and ASACO, as well as the press. At the event Minister Bassil laid down the first stone as an initiation of the project.
