Longview Manufacturer INDEVCO Plastics Gets Accelerated LEDCO Incentive
INDEVCO Plastics made its expansion plans official this week after Longview Economic Development Corp. promised $350,000 in cash incentives for a $15.6 million capital expansion of its facility on Fisher Road.
LEDCO President and Chief Executive Wayne Mansfield said the deal secures 23 new jobs over the next three years.
INDEVCO, a manufacturer based in Lebanon, said in April that it wanted to expand its Longview plant. In order to request a new incentive package, LEDCO agreed to accelerate the end of the company’s original incentive deal from 2015 when it moved to Longview.
Mansfield said INDEVCO’s expansion fits well with his agency’s strategy of increasing foreign-directinvestment in Longview and provides a boost for local taxing entities such as Pine Tree ISD.
“They’re a great company and a great partner for us,” Mansfield said. “We’re excited to be able to work with them and watch them expand and add jobs.”
