Sanita Beaufort Participates in ‘Clean-Up UAE 2013’

As part of its ‘Preservation of the Environment’ strategy, Sanita Beaufort staff participated in ‘Clean-Up UAE 2013’ campaign which began at Al Jazeera Al Hamra Beach and continued with an exclusive tree planting ceremony at Jazeera Landfill from 11-13 December. The 12^th annual nationwide clean-up campaign encourages good stewardship and promotes a clean, green, and sustainable UAE.

Sanita Beaufort, hygiene disposable products manufacturer distributed garbage bags and volunteered to help pick up waste across the 3 km beach. At the end of the campaign, volunteers collected approximately 2400 kg of waste.

Under the motto ‘One Root One Communitree’, the annual clean-up campaign also featured a tree planting event, which culminated with 314 new seedlings planted. Public Work and Services Department of the Government of Ras Al Khaymeh organized the clean-up campaign in collaboration with Emirates Environmental Group (EEG).
