Sanita, leading hygiene disposables manufacturer in the Middle East, participated in the ‘Walk with Al Younbouh’ 2013, on 12 May, as part of the on-going commitment to serve the Lebanese community. Al Younbouh Rehabilitation Center for People with Special Needs organizes the annual ‘walk’ in order to support its mission to improve the quality of life for mentally disabled adults. The event helps students interact with participants and integrate further into the community.
Community members, officials, schools and clubs, humanitarian organizations, celebrities, and sponsors came together to walk hand in hand with Al Younbouh students throughout the old roads of Jounieh. ‘Walk with Al Younbouh’ 2013 began at 9:30 am, with participants gathering at Fouad Chehab Stadium, Jounieh. Sanita promoted eco-friendly practices at the event by distributing nylon drawstring bags containing pocket tissue, branded with the patriotic slogan ‘Chouf Halak bi Lebnen’, to all participants preparing to walk.
The event was hosted by popular TV personality, Tony Baroud, former member of the Lebanese national basketball team. Joesph Attieh, Lebanese singer and winner of Star Academy 2006 – Middle East, performing his latest hits to entertain the crowd and Al Younbouh students. Furthermore, Al Younbouh students delighted the crowd with a dance.
