INDEVCO Human Resources & Organizational Development (HROD) Department has begun using ProAbled online recruitment platform to screen qualified candidates with disabilities for their workforce in Lebanon. Sanita took part in ProAbled’s national campaign in October to raise awareness about the importance of fair employment. The manufacturer of consumer and institutional disposables, Sanita, maintains a section for persons with special needs at its plant in Zouk Mosbeh.

INDEVCO Group has been recruiting persons with disabilities for over 15 years. Today, around 30 employees with disabilities, including Down Syndrome, paralysis, amputations, mobility and dexterity impairments, and speech difficulties are members of INDEVCO family. Candidate selection is based on competencies required in job descriptions, including physical and mental requirements related to safety and operations in a manufacturing environment. Our companies offer reserved parking, disabled access into buildings and restrooms with safe passageways, floor designations, and appropriate signage.

In line with INDEVCO’s philosophy and its organizational commitment towards the community, the Chairman & CEO has endorsed the implementation of Law 220/2000, which takes effect in October 2019, governing the rights of disabled persons. This initiative also supports the INDEVCO commitment to diversity and inclusion, with member companies actively working to empower employees with disabilities. Facilitating their employment and economic inclusion aligns with UN SDG8 Decent Work and Economic Growth (Target 8.5) and SDG10 Reduced Inequalities (Target 10.2) to achieve full, productive and decent work, as well as promote the social and economic inclusion of all.

This online platform provides the recruitment team the right candidates trained by NGOs and vocational centers. candidates are skilled at administrative, customer service, and fulfillment-related work for financial, food and beverage, manufacturing, construction, and other sectors.
In addition, ProAbled team of experts provides trainings on inclusion of persons with disabilities at the workplace to HR and management teams in the private and public sector.
