During the 15th Annual GPCA Forum, Napco National will showcase its sustainable heavy-duty sacks (FFS) and MicroMB Extend bitumen modifiers for sustainable roads at Stand # C40. The Saudi company will also promote its recycling services tailored to the specific needs of the petrochemical industry.
Heavily focused on innovating products for a sustainable future, Napco National partners with suppliers and customers in the petrochemical industry to push for a circular economy of plastics in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Heavy-Duty Sacks (Form-Fill-Seal – FFS) with 50% Less Virgin Materials
Napco National’s dedicated R&D center and Recom recycling plants developed heavy-duty sacks using only 50% virgin material and the remaining is substituted by circular compounded material that enhances plastic properties and reduces consumption of virgin fossil-fuel-based raw materials. The product maintains the quality and performance of regular FFS films while reducing the environmental impact.
Recom collects, washes, and recycles post-industrial scrap to regenerate high-quality resins which are then sent to plastic converters to produce the sacks for the petrochemical industry.
Heavy-Duty Sacks with Reduced Thickness
Napco National downgauged its prime heavy-duty sacks and thickness to 105 microns and 100 microns. In addition to reducing material consumption, this also reduces transportation costs and carbon emissions with the transportation of more products per container.
MicroMB Extend Bitumin Modifier with Recycled Plastics
The Saudi manufacturer partnered with Dow Chemical to innovate a bitumen modifier for improving road durability and reducing maintenance. This polymer-modified bitumen includes recycled plastics which diverts plastic waste from the environment while simultaneously extending the life and quality of roads.

24/7 Plastics Recycling Services
In previous years, Napco National has actively promoted the circular economy of plastics during the annual event in line with its commitment to supporting petrochemical companies with their sustainability journeys. Napco National offers petrochemical producers round-the-clock on-premises collection and recycling of polymer scraps, using fully owned logistics and equipment.
Recom collects reactor scrap, film scrap, clog and lump scrap, and core scrap which the plastic recycling plants in Dammam and Jeddah segregate, sort, wash and reprocess into recycled resins.
In addition, Napco National supports Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) efforts and plays a significant role in solidifying the circular economy in Saudi Arabia addressing issues of the national collection, sorting, and recycling of plastic scrap and packaging waste. The company also works with the Alliance to End Plastic Waste and actively participates in the Middle East and North Africa Regional Task Group that focuses on reducing plastic waste in the region.
Napco National Commitment to Sustainability
Napco National is committed to the Saudi Vision 2030 and to contributing to the economy through local manufacturing. Furthermore, as a member of the UN Global Compact, Napco National focuses on progressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These sustainable products and solutions align with SDG 9 Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, SDG 11 Sustainable Cities & Communities, SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 17 Partnerships.
