French International School of Jeddah visited Napco National recycling plant in Jeddah on 13 March 2019 to learn about recycling efforts and impacts on environment. During the visit, Napco National highlighted the importance of sustainability, shared recycling expertise with middle school students aged, and provided a 1- hour plant tour. The recycling team explained and demonstrated Napco National’s approach to reduce waste, reuse resources, and recycle materials (three Rs) and how this reduces landfilling and harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
School Recycling Program Engages Families
The joint school recycling program has effectively spilled over to student homes and families. Students are working with family members to collect plastic waste from homes and bring to school management, who in turn are sending the plastic scrap to Napco National for recycling.
Napco National commits to empower the new generation with the knowledge and tools to make a positive impact on community and environment. With the help of educational and social institutions, Napco will raise sustainability awareness to build a generation that is environmentally conscious.
