Founded on a philosophy of serving the community, Sanita Persona joined local efforts to help those affected by the devastating Beirut explosion of 4 August. On 14 August, 23 members of Sanita Persona team visited homes on Fouad Boutros Street in Mar Mikhael, one of the areas in Beirut hit hardest by the blast.
The Lebanese manufacturing company supported 20 families by distributing 25 bags, 18 with an array of household care products including floor detergents, liquid soaps, sanitizer sprays, baby wet wipes, dish wash bottles; and 7 containing 10kg of wet wipes each.
While visiting homes, Sanita Persona team found a home still in ruins and a women with health issues in need of support and volunteered to help clean up and remove broken glass, backfill, and the wreckage left behind.
As a member of INDEVCO Group, Sanita Persona’s initiative is one among many other Beirut relief initiatives launched by sister companies. All humanitarian efforts work toward UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) SDG1 eliminating poverty and SDG3 ensuring good health and wellbeing for all, as well as support the principles of the UN Global Compact for securing human rights.
