US-based ePac Flexible Packaging has announced plans to expand its operations by opening new production facilities in various cities across the US.
The new manufacturing plants include Cleveland, Ohio; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Longview, Texas; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; New York City, New York; Louisville, Kentucky; and Richmond, Virginia.
According to the company, while construction is completed, all cities are now open for receiving an order with fulfilment handled by other ePac locations.
It currently operates facilities in Madison, Wisconsin; Boulder, Colorado; Chicago, Illinois; and Miami, Florida.
The packaging firm is currently establishing new facilities in Atlanta, Georgia; Boston, Massachusetts; Los Angeles, California; and Austin, Texas.
ePac Flexible CEO Jack Knott said: “As we’ve announced previously, our strategic intent when we first opened ePac in 2016 was to prove our business model and build 15 ePac locations by the end of 2019.
With these new sites coming online by year-end, we will have fulfilled our commitment and look forward to working with brands in these exciting markets.”
INDEVCO Plastics, an investor in ePac Austin, will also make investments in new plants, including Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Louisville, Kentucky; Longview, Texas; and Richmond, Virginia.
INDEVCO executive vice-president Robert Laird will oversee all five locations.
Woodhaven Capital Partners, owner and operator of ePac Boston, plans to expand its portfolio by adding Cleveland and New York City locations, for which Tim Novak serves as managing partner.
