ePac Holdings, LLC and INDEVCO Plastics, Inc. Form Joint Partnership to Drive Adoption of Digital Packaging

ePac, a leader in fast time-to-market flexible packaging, announced today that INDEVCO Plastics has acquired an equity stake in the company. The partnership between ePac and INDEVCO, a global plastic film and flexible packaging manufacturer, will accelerate ePac’s leadership position in the rapidly growing short and medium-run digital packaging market. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

With plants in Middleton, Wisconsin and Boulder, Colorado, ePac recently announced plans to add additional locations in Houston, Miami, and Los Angeles. According to ePac CEO, Jack Knott: “With INDEVCO joining the ePac team, we’ve added a great partner with over 60 years in flexible packaging. Our partnership will create tremendous operational synergy and a shared vision for future growth.”

INDEVCO has grown its 60 operations around the globe by responding to unmet needs in specific markets and geographical locations and by focusing on both profit and purpose. According to Robert Laird, EVP of Operations for INDEVCO Plastics, “We’re excited about our partnership with ePac and its technology-driven solutions. The market – from consumer brands and flexible packaging converters to co-packers – is asking for short and medium-run digital packaging, and we are pleased to be a leader in this technology in North America.”

ePac plants print on demand with no plate or set-up fees, which is suited for multi-SKU orders, customized products, and promotions. The focus on short-to-medium runs promotes print to demand, reduces inventory, and increases delivery speed of roll stock and finished pouches to the customer.

Compared to conventional flexo and rotogravure printing, ePac’s wide-web digital printing process has a substantially lower environmental impact, given less global warming potential, cumulative energy demand, and water depletion. In addition, the company sources recycled raw materials for specific packaging applications.
