INDEVCO dedicated June to ‘Men’s Health & Wellbeing’, launching an integrated awareness communication campaign internally for its employees. During INDEVCO’s Men’s Health and Wellbeing month, the Global Communication and Sustainability department organized a health awareness session for all men across INDEVCO Business Units in Lebanon at the company’s premises in Zouk Mosbeh on 14 June 2023. The session brought two specialists to discuss men’s health and offer tips and guidance to promote wellbeing. Complementary to the session, the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team at INDEVCO Flexible Packaging division, supported the initiative by providing a rapid pre-session health checkup for all attendees, checking blood pressure, oxygen, and glucose levels.
Dr. Vicky Kassouf, family medicine specialist and clinical instructor at the Lebanese American University Medical Center (LAUMC) – Saint John’s Hospital, covered the first part of the session about ‘Major Health Issues in Men’. Dr. Kassouf highlighted major common health problems affecting men like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, their warning signs and symptoms, as well as preventive actions to maintain a healthy body.
Christian Beaino, a physiotherapist specializing in injury prevention and physical wellbeing, addressed the importance of ‘Staying Active in an Inactive Environment’. Beaino discussed several health issues related to inactivity and bad posture at work, and the corrective measures to take.
This campaign aligns with INDEVCO’s commitment to the wellbeing of its employees and UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 for Good Health & Wellbeing, as well as SDG 8 for Decent Work & Economic Growth. INDEVCO also launched a campaign in March dedicated to Women’s Health & Wellbeing. Read article for more info: https://shorturl.at/hiuAZ
