Consistent with INDEVCO’s commitment to youth empowerment, Chairman & CEO, Neemat G. Frem, met with 100 interns on 1 August 2018 at INDEVCO Zouk Mosbeh offices in Lebanon. During the gathering, organized by INDEVCO HROD Recruitment Unit, Frem shared his experience with the students and introduced the group’s structure, corporate culture and values. Frem stressed how its qualified and hard-working teams stand as pillars to INDEVCO’s success over the past six decades.
Frem emphasized the importance of coupling education and theory with hands-on experience through practical training. Frem also provided insight into INDEVCO 2018 developments, successes, and projected annual growth. Students engaged with the CEO during an open Q&A session at the end of the meeting.
INDEVCO regularly provides internship programs to equip university students with skills needed for employment as part of its on-going youth empowerment social responsibility objective. INDEVCO is a diversified manufacturing group with major operations in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region which was cited by International Labour Organization (ILO) as having the highest youth unemployment in the world. INDEVCO’s Youth Empowerment Initiative aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal SDG4 (Target 4.4) and quality jobs consistent with SDG8 (Target 8.6).
