Phoenix Energy, renewable energy products supplier, installed two biomass boilers in the Lebanese village Karm Saddeh, as part of Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) Lebanon’s joint project with Centre Tecnologic Forestal De Catalonia (CTFC).

YMCA Lebanon, NGO based in Sin el-Fil, Beirut, partnered with CTFC to implement a series of activities related to the development of the pilot forest in North Lebanon for Aito and surrounding villages. The joint project is funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development.

Phoenix Energy will attend YMCA Lebanon’s inauguration ceremony of some of the project activities on 12 January 2011, in Aito Village, Lebanon. At the event, YMCA Lebanon will host Catalonia Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fishing, Nutrition & Natural Environment, Josep Maria Pelegri Axiut.

Phoenix Energy Contribution to YMCA Project

Phoenix Energy installed a CSI 60 KW biomass boiler in the Karm Saddeh Municipality facility, as well as a CS 40 KW biomass boiler in the Al Mahabba wal Islah Club facility under use by Karm Saddeh public school. Phoenix Energy also installed radiators and network (piping) for the public school.

The biomass heaters, working on wood logs and olive husk, will heat the public school and municipality facilities and promote the use of timber forest products. Furthermore, Phoenix Energy donated an automatic ash extractor to the project, in line with the renewable energy solutions supplier’s continuous efforts to promote environmental awareness.
