Phoenix Energy successfully completes second phase of the ‘Harissa Goes Green’ project, which featured the installation of on-grid photovoltaic (PV) power system in the passages leading to the Basilica of Our Lady of Lebanon entrance. The project will light the Our Lady of Lebanon – Harissaparking lot and entrance more effectively. This virtually maintenance-free system aims to reduce energy consumption by 10% and result in an annual saving of $13,000.

Phoenix Energy team, comprising of 5 technicians and 1 engineer, worked for a month on the installation of the PV panels that will supply sustainable electricity to all of the Harissa sanctuary. The on-grid PV power system has 24.5 kWp with an output of 41 MWh/year.

Phoenix Energy will launch phase three of the eco-friendly project to connect the existing off-grid systems to the on-grid PV systems, offering approximately a 50% reduction in energy consumption at Harissa. Phoenix Energy will also help Harissa shift to LED lighting.

‘Harrisa Aal Tabiaa’ (Harissa Goes Green) Project Phase One
