Phoenix Power 1 to Eradicate 20% of Egyptian Electricity Blackouts

The new Phoenix Power One Website is now online. The website provides comprehensive details about the Phoenix Power 1 project that will be constructed in Bin Ban – Egypt, starting November 2016, and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2017. This project will give birth to a 62 MW Solar Power Plant and provide the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) with solar power of 14.35 cent per KWh. The plant will occupy a surface of 1.1 million m2, on which it will operate for approximately 25 years.

As part of the Egyptian Renewable Energy National Strategy (2008), Phoenix Power 1 will quench 20% of the Egyptian electricity by 2020.
