Water Management
IPM has reduced its freshwater consumption by undertaking initiatives, such as installing clarification equipment, thus enabling higher degree of water re-circulation.
Recycling
IPM produces recycled tissue paper by recycling pre- and post-consumer waste paper, which contributes to protecting natural resources and promotes a sustainability culture.
Energy Management
IPM has implemented numerous energy saving processes throughout its manufacturing facilities, in order to reduce fuel consumption and decrease carbon footprint, such as:
- The installation of new specialized equipment, in order to reduce the load placed on the power grid, by achieving a 92% power factor in its plants.
- The installation of heat recovery boilers on diesel generator exhausts.
- The modification of high efficient air-to-air heat exchange economizer on paper machine hood.
- The operation of biomass boiler instead of fossil fuel.
